This session introduces participants to the student data domain, including FERPA considerations, student records, enrollment, retention, and graduation data. The session will cover how to access, interpret, and leverage this data to improve student services and outcomes.

Afternoon Session 1 | 12:30 – 1:30 P.M.

This session introduces participants to human resources data, including employee records, payroll, benefits, and workforce analytics. Participants will explore how to access and use HR data and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning in human capital management.

This session introduces participants to the research data landscape at Georgia Tech, including grant management, research outputs, and compliance data. Participants will learn how to navigate research data systems and use this data to support research activities and compliance reporting.

This session introduces participants to finance-related data at Georgia Tech, covering topics such as budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting. Participants will learn various data sources and how to navigate financial data systems and use this information to support decision making.

LITE Fundamentals – Press Room A
Hands-on training on using the LITE portal to answer commonly asked questions. Will feature pre-prepared case studies and audience suggested use cases.

Excel Fundamentals – Press Room B
Excel remains a foundational tool in data analysis. This session will cover essential Excel functions, data manipulation techniques, and basic data visualization. Participants will gain the skills needed to manage and analyze data efficiently.

Tableau Fundamentals – Press Room A
This hands-on session covers the basics of Tableau, a powerful data visualization tool. Participants will learn how to create, customize, and share interactive dashboards that bring data insights to life.

PowerBI Fundamentals – Press Room B
PowerBI is a robust tool for data analysis and visualization. This session introduces participants to PowerBI’s features, including report creation and sharing insights through dashboards. Participants will leave with the skills to create impactful visual reports.

Day 2 of the Data Days conference will be held at the Bill Moore Student Success Center located at  225 North Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30308.

Directions and Parking
For directions to the Bill Moore Student Success Center, please visit ssc.gatech.edu/directions.

If driving, Data Days conference attendees should park in the Georgia Tech Visitor Area 1 parking lot at 176 North Avenue NW, Atlanta, GA. For ease and safety, please use the pedestrian sky bridge to cross over North Avenue from the top level of the visitor’s lot.
